About Optinet
Optinet is the IT services division of the National Eyecare Group. Launched in 1987, Optinet was setup to provide a computer based letter printing service to National Eyecare Group members and has evolved to what is now a comprehensive practice management system, used by hundreds of opticians.
Continuous database evolution
This first database system was developed to store patient records and generate reminder data, the data was sent to Optinet on a floppy disc for mail merging with clients own letter headed paper to produce high quality laser printed reminders. 2013 saw the introduction of FLEX, a feature-rich system capable of handling all aspects of practice management. Launched in 2024, NOVA is our latest cloud-based management system – giving you access to your business data whenever you need it and wherever you are.
